Once you arrive in Thailand, besides Bangkok, the following places must come once.
Thailand is the most popular tourist destination in Southeast Asia, as you can find almost anything here: crystal clear beaches, jungle, fine food, beachfront bungalows. Cheap and some of the most luxurious hotels in the world. This place is full of things suitable for everyone. Although there is a thriving tourism industry, Thailand retains its unique essence and culture, its own history and is a very carefree nation with a smile on its lips.
Ko Phi Phi is a small archipelago in Krabi province in southern Thailand. Ko Phi Phi Don is the largest island in the group, and is the only island with long-standing habitat while the smaller archipelago, Phi Phi Leh, is known as a beach and diving site. Tourism in Ko Phi Phi has exploded only recently, especially after Ko Phi Phi Leh was used as the backdrop for the movie The Beach in 2000. As a result of the overcrowding of tourists This has made Ko Phi Phi less interesting, but it is still a nice place to visit.
Koh Tao, thought to be Turtle Island, is a small island located near the eastern shore of the Gulf of Thailand. About 7000 new divers are certified on Koh Tao each year making it one of the most popular destinations for those who want to learn about diving in the world. Diving around the reef is quite easy and fun and you can see a wide range of impressive marine life like coral, turtles, lots of small fish, and if lucky you can see A whale. The average underwater vision is about 15-20 meters.
Located just over 95 km (60 miles) from Phuket Island, Phang Nga Bay is one of the top attractions in Thailand and is home to a myriad of local attractions. Includes beautiful caves, saltwater caves and limestone islands. The most famous island in the bay is a large sea called Ko Ping Kan (commonly known as James Bond Island) featured in James Bond movie "The Man With The Golden Gun". A popular way to visit Phang Nga Bay is by kayak, which is the only way to get inside the caves.
Railay Beach (or Rai Leh) is a small peninsula that can only be reached by boat due to the high limestone cliffs that prevents large vehicles from coming from the mainland. The cliffs attract rock climbers from all over the world, but this area is also a popular attraction in Thailand by its beautiful beaches and tranquil atmosphere. Cheap motels popular with backpackers and mountaineers up to the famous luxury resort of Rayavadee.
Chiang Mai is one of Thailand's top attractions. The famous night market is crowded along several streets and paths, inside the buildings and the temple grounds. The market includes handicrafts, artwork, clothing and a full range of imported goods, which is considered a modern shopping center. At first, the market was owned by Chinese traders, but since it was expanded to commercial buildings, it was no longer owned by a group of people. Instead, it belongs to many owners, and most of them are Thai.
Similan Islands in the western Andaman Sea are considered as the best diving locations in Thailand. The archipelago consists of nine islands encircled within tropical jungle with white sand beaches. What is happening under the blue water is even more impressive. There are two different diving spots around the Similan Islands. Eastern diving spots include soft coral reefs, while the western dive site has large granite boulders covered with hard and soft coral reefs.
The royal palace of Thailand was built in 1782 when the capital of Siam was moved from Thonburi to Bangkok. The palace used to be the residence of Thai kings until the mysterious death of King Ananda Mahidol in 1946. His brother, King Bhumibol Adulyadej, succeeded him to the Chitralada Palace. forever. The royal palace consists of a variety of architectural styles ranging from the pure Ayutthaya style of the temples to the blend of Thailand and the West for later structures. It also includes Wat Phra Kaew, the Temple of the Emerald Buddha, which owns one of the oldest and most famous statues of the Buddha in the world.
Situated near the Cambodian border, Ko Chang is the second largest island in Thailand and the largest in the Ko Chang Marine Corps Islands. Ko Chang is one of Thailand's most beautiful islands with many waterfalls, thriving reefs, tropical rainforests and long white sand beaches. The island is also home to a variety of wildlife, including birds, snakes, deer and some elephants. Over the past ten years, Ko Chang has become one of the main tourist destinations in Thailand, and while still far more than the islands such as Phuket or Ko Samui, it is definitely a good destination. more than ever.
Ayuthaya was founded in 1350 AD by King U Thong as the second capital of Siam after Sukhothai. Throughout the centuries, the ideal location between China, India and the Malaysian islands made Ayutthaya the Asian business capital. In 1700 Ayutthaya became one of the largest cities in the world with a total of 1 million people. In 1767, the city was destroyed by the Burmese army, leading to the collapse of the kingdom. The city was re-established a few kilometers east of the ruins, which now constitute the historical park of Ayutthaya. Most of what remains are temples and palaces, the only buildings made of stone at the time.
Ko Tarutao is one of the 51 islands belonging to the Tarutao National Marine Park in southern Thailand. One of the biggest attractions in Tarutao is the wildlife: sea turtles, whales, lizards, crab eaters, mice and the surrounding sea. Compared with the Andaman Islands, the waters of Ko Tarutao are too dark for scuba diving, but in return there are pristine beaches, waterfalls, great hiking and beautiful views.

What a nice list. I was in Thailand last year. I was able to visit Bangkok, CM, Pai, Chiang Rai, Koh Samui, and Koh Phagnan. I was in Pai when the beloved king passed away. It was a very heart moving experience. It was abundantly clear how much the country loved him.
