My Steemian Friends! Big things are about to come!
As you might have noticed I was away for the last couple of days. I took my time and went skiing in the mountains of Austria, Saalbach. It was an incredible time and hands down, I took some amazing shots! I can't wait to share them: GoPro, Nikon and the drone were with me. Are you ready for some literally cool shots? Let's go!
This was the place where we had our alpine hut, located in Saalbach Hinterglemm. A nice village in Austria and a dream for wintersports. Just to sum up some things we did: Skiing, snowboarding, driving a snowmobile, night riding and more. And guess what? A vlog is coming! I collected as much video footage as possible and am making a vlog exclusively on dtube. I really hope to finish it by end of next week. If you ask where my Prague video is, I unfortunately lost one of the memory cards and don't have all the footage I took anymore. However, to prevent this again I took several backups of my skiing footage!
This was our alpine hut by the way.
And of course the view we had every morning. Snow, snow and more snow.
On the first day we took the bus to get to the ski area. There we had to rent our equipment and take the lift to get to the top of the mountain.
There is a lot you need to have in order to ski safely. Ski shoes, skies, a warm jacket and pants, ski goggles, gloves...
Don't worry, on Thursday the next episode of TimTravels will be uploaded and I will tell you more about the trip. What we did, where we went and so on. Who knows, maybe the vlog will be ready by then?

This is absolutely my most favorite shot of them all. those oranges are the way to sweet!:D Also the lanterns lighting the lid parkour rock.

It was freezing, that's rights. Although I had some gloves I needed to take them off for the shots. This picture had an exposure of 30 seconds. Now imagine how many tries I had until I finally had a satisfying shot :D

While there are about 5 on the podium, I agree that this photo left me with an open mouth, like so many others that I see on your blog.
I must admit that I travel ocularly with your posts. Traveling is a blessing, enjoy such privilege.

Those are some awesome photos. It looks like there was quite a bit of recent snow there. The nighttime shots are really awesome. You flew the drone out in the cold?
Yes I flew it in the cold. You need to warm up the battery and let the drone hover for a minute above the ground. Then you are good to go

Some of the outdoor photos were quite dimmed, low sunlight at the day eh?
Was very foggy and lots of snow falling. Was pretty dark sometimes. The silent hill is real

Great pictures! I have been a die hard skier since the age of 8. I am flying out to deer valley Utah to go hit the slopes in 2 weeks. Anyways enjoyed the post glad there are fellow skiers on the platform!

Great place to ski or snowboard, we are touring this season in the Tirol area and they have something that's called a Tirol snow card, which gives you access to 90!! resorts for the whole season for a reasonable price (around 750 euro). Something to look at if you want to go skiing a lot 😃. Thanks for the pictures! Cheers
