Bring in the new year with a bang 🎆🎇🧨

G'day Hive and happy new year!!

I hope everyone has an awesome 2025!
What a year 2024 was hey I'm sure it was full of ups and downs for everyone, but we survived it!

We were invited to send out 2024 down in Bateau bay in the Central Coast New South Wales.
Where our good mates live, and the best part is their house is only 2 streets away from the beach!

Now Bateau bay is a 8 hour drive from our house so we packed up the car and embarked on our road trip with a two and a half year old on the day before NYE.

Lucky enough he was all good on the drive down.

On NYE we cooked some dinner on the BBQ. And normally at 8pm the local council puts on fireworks for the kids to bring in the new year then another fireworks display at 12 for the adults.

Now Bateau bay is near the Entrance which has a big water front precinct and they were putting on the fire works. So we walked down to the beach to see if we could see the fireworks from the beach up at the entrance.

But to our luck some people had set up their own fireworks display on the beach at Bateau bay.
Now I'm pretty sure this was not run by the local council, and the fireworks were not legally acquired. But hey who am I to judge.

They had this all set up on the beach so we stayed up onto of the sand dunes to keep a good distance in case of rouge fireworks.

Now this ended up being one of the best fire work displays I had seen in a long time!

It went for a good solid 10min and thousands of dollars of fireworks were set off.
This was probably a better show than the councils haha.

There was one or two fireworks that exploded on the beach in-between teenagers playing around but no one got to injured that I could see.

None the less it was a super fun way to bring in the new year and my son loved it!

So shout out to the guys that set that all up!
