Servus miteinander!
Vor wenigen Wochen hat mich @betterthanhome mit seinem beeindruckenden Beitrag vom Tafelberg in Kapstadt inspiriert. Auch ich besuchte im Jahr 2020 Südafrikas bekannteste Stadt und war von der facettenreichen Metropole enorm begeistert. Die Bilder meiner damaligen Reise schlummerten bisher auf meiner Festplatte und ich dachte mir, dass ich diese doch einmal für einen Post hernehmen sollte.

A few weeks ago @betterthanhome inspired me with his impressive post from Table Mountain in Cape Town. I also visited South Africa's most famous city in 2020 and was enormously inspired by the multifaceted metropolis. The pictures of my trip at that time slumbered so far on my hard drive and I thought that I should take these for a post.
Wenn man nach Kapstadt reist, dann kommt man um den berühmten Tafelberg kaum herum. Den mitunter bekannteste Berg Afrikas kann man entweder zu Fuß via Wanderweg erklimmen, oder man nimmt die bequeme Variante mittels Seilbahn auf das Bergplateur. Oben angekommen erfährt man einen grandiosen Ausblick über die verschiedenen Stadtteile Kapstadts sowie den etwas vorgesetzten Lionshead. Besonders sehenswert sind auch die typischen Nebelschwaden des Tafelbergs, die vom kühlen Hochplateu in die Küste von Kapstadt „fließen“. Am Horizont sieht man die unendliche Weite des Ozeans, wo sich als nächste Station nurnoch die Antarktis befindet.
If you travel to Cape Town, you can hardly avoid the famous Table Mountain. One of the most famous mountain in Africa can either be climbed on foot via a hiking trail, or you can take the comfortable option by cable car to the mountain plateau. Once at the top, you will experience a magnificent view over the various districts of Cape Town as well the smaller Lionshead. Particularly worth seeing are also the typical fog clouds of the Table Mountain, which "flow" from the cool plateau into the coast of Cape Town. On the horizon you can see the endless expanse of the ocean, where the next stop is only Antarctica.
Geht man nach der Infotafel am Berg, so dürfte geologischen Forschungen zufolge das Tafelbergmassiv einer der ältesten Berge der Welt sein. Ob dies tatsächlich so ist, wird sich vermutlich eher schwer erweisen lassen. Was jedenfalls gewiss ist, ist die unfassbar schöne Aussicht von den 1.087 Höhenmetern über die traumhafte Stadt im Süden Afrikas. Im nächsten Beitrag zeige ich euch einen weiteren tollen Aussichtspunkt in Kapstadt, den Gipfel des Lionshead.
If you go by the information board on the mountain, then according to geological research, the Table Mountain should be one of the oldest mountains in the world. Whether this is actually the case will probably be rather difficult to prove. What is certain, however, is the incredibly beautiful view from the 1,087 meters above sea level over the beautiful city in southern Africa. In the next post I'll show you another great viewpoint in Cape Town, the summit of Lionshead.

wow, so eine tolle Stadt. Wir werden definitiv nochmal hinreisen. Einfach wunderschön. Danke für die Erinnerung auch wenns noch gar nicht lange her ist. :)
