#978 - More on Mount Kabunian Shots in Bakun Benguet.
Chase the sun dearest Hiveans but don't forget to dance in the rain too😉. Life's a journey of light and dark and every storm brings a rainbow as we all know. So let's embrace the wet, the wild and the wonderful life we have. After all, even the darkest of nights create the most brilliant stars.🌟✨
Moving on to our daily shots and this time once again is in Bakun. Midway through our hike to Mount Kabunian in Bakun, Benguet the trail began to test our spirits because the path though visible was tough and unforgiving, with roots and rocks on the trails. The air grew thick with fog which then reducing visibility and adding challenge to our journey. Each step required caution but we pressed on with our undying determination to reach the summit haha.
The fog while beautiful, was a reminder of the mountain's raw, untamed nature. It clung to our clothes and chilled into our bones. The trail demanded respect and we did gave it with one careful step at a time. The going was slow especially with the wife but the reward was within reach, almost😂.
As we ascended, the trail kept on changing and becoming harder. The trees stood as guards with their branches reaching out like welcoming arms. We leaned into some during the climb while our bodies fueled by adrenaline and the promise of the summit.
Reaching the summit before noon was a triumphant reward as we started at five. The fog was still thick and unable to see the panoramic view which we were expecting 😢. The sense of achievement was still solid as we stood at the peak with our hearts pounding with exhilaration. We then also quickly transitioned from hikers to celebrants as the wife pulled out a small cake to honor her birthdays and her friend. Laughter and cheer echoed through the fog as we sang happy birthday song.
After our impromptu celebration, we gathered around the summit signage with phone camera ready. The photos we took that day would forever capture the joy and triumph of our tough journey. Standing there on top of Mount Kabunian, we were more than just hikers who were there alone but we were also conquerors that day.
