paradigm shift from Huxley's cross-bridge model of sarcomere contraction

Huxley suggested the "sliding filament theory" in 1953 and later went on to suggest the "cross-bridge theory" in 1969. I observed while studying very basic things for med. school (that I have now resumed after a 10 year long pause) that sarcomere contraction ("sliding filament theory") is by a rotational mechanism. Then Googled, came across Jarosch who detailed exactly that in 2008. It is also available for free over ResearchGate here. My intuition is that electrophysiology such as models for axon conduction is false, and this paradigm in how to understand sarcomere rotation reminded me of that.
