PIXA.PICS - Create paintings scaling up to infinity % (with your photos or NFTs)

Here is a zoom:

But this is the result (yeah, can't upload svg):
pixel_art_n_1645120612551_from_pixapics.png

The source of 22Kb (of the result above, yes, really!!!):

It like 100x less heavy to store than a 2.2Mb background image, also if you try opening this image and zoom it will be nonsense because it scale with fading but you can see it as below too with the proper software.

The source but scaled linearly:

The source of the source (Convert photo to pixel art with pixa.pics)

How it works (it's https://pixa.pics/)

  1. It asks you to choose a size and import an image then it let you click on "reduce colors auto" (down to 10-20 colors ideally), "smooth" (remove isolated pixels), and "auto contrast" (compute an ideal contrast), and right then you'll have a beautiful pixel art.

  2. And you know what? You can draw and add instagram like filter, selection, and so on before downloading your painting in one click (no you don't need to subscribe to anything), but you're not due to draw on your image either, just in case you want to, every tools are there.

How the duck does it scale it to a vector painting?
It's algorithm my men, or ninjas IDK, hey yeah, a Chinese pseudo-named Zenju developed xBRZ and it scale up to 6 times the pixel art while drawing fancy area on it and then it is converted to infinitely scalable SVG using yet another algorithms again, this one is called imagetracerjs... Looks nice no? 100x compression (with loss and infinity)
