Ended up gong through a hedge!!!

Back in 1999, I used to work at a dry cleaner where my mum used to work. I was 15 years old, and it was a great way to start earning some money to put towards fixing my first car, which was a 1985 BMW 318i.

I could do many jobs around the shop, and the staff were great, I used to also help with my bosses cars, which back then was a 1989 G reg VW Passat 1.8. GL, image.png which was then replaced by a 1999 Renault Laguna 2.0 RT Estate image.png

, and then a 2005 Rover 75 Diesel.image.png

I used to also look after his wife's vehicles which were a 1999 Honda civic Saloonimage.png
(if you like Honda Civics then Ben from @planetauto is your man)
and then a 1999 Toyota Rav 4.

My boss always reminded me of a mixture of John Lennon and Elton John.

Anyway, back to the story, for some reason, my boss had an issue with his Passat, which needed it to be taken to the dealer to put it up on a ramp.

Due to the car being away, his friend came in from a local village store, he said to my boss that he could borrow his Citroen Berlingo van, which was in a wonderful green.

He asked me to go with him to speed things up, and we set off in this little van.

My boss was quite a quick driver, as we flew down the country roads, he put the music up, and was in a very good mood, when suddenly, a car came around the corner, towards him, the other car stopped, but my boss forgot he had brakes, but all of a sudden pulled up the handbrake.

We suddenly swerved left onto the freshly cut green grass, then started spinning about 720 degrees, through a hedge, and straight out the other side. It seemed to go on forever.

My bosses glasses were skew-whiff and covered in sweat. He looked very confused. He looked at me to say something then I said to him, "That was good fun, shall we do it again?". He burst into laughter, opened his apple juice, had a swig, and began the trip to the first client.

Luckily the van had no issues with it, just covered in mud.

Have any of you had any similar situations which turned out to be very funny?
