The Spirit of Success (Poem)

in #poem2 months ago (edited)

“I will break the bottle I call myself.”

“You speak with blood beyond your body,
but moments like these birth the strength of your spirit.
You have killed the crocodiles,
now you charge with tenacity into the heat of a volcano —
hire every item in the cycle shop,
there inflation is contained in the utility of a tyre.

Punch the flight in your pursuit,
as the spirit of adrenaline surpasses itself —
young one, you love everything but your own limitlessness!
Move beyond each mountain,
crush each climb beneath your feet.

Sickness is filling the liver,
health is falling down in exhaustion.
How peculiar you must feel this new flash of fire?
What gift we have granted you in these, your summer years.
Ride beyond your own rhythms,
seek only that self you cannot see,
this cements the scope of your success.”
