Upon the human populace breathes a creature of immense size
Yet completely invisible,
Matching human to worm,
Their population increases.
Gigantic creatures of great beauty
sliding on earth,
Stepping on people yet stepping not,
Completely superimposed on men,
Yet altogether on separate planes.
No human eyes behold them for aeons
Until a Viewaroyle is born of the human race;
The Viewaroyle hears and sees all secrets,
Communicates easily, intelligently
With a harmless yet terrifying race,
Worms beautiful beyond description,
Bodies shimmering in changing colours under the bright sun,
Eyes as green as grass,
Reflecting light in various directions,
To create sensations of living rays most enchanting.
The Tatani worm is the oldest
Their king,
He befriends the boy Viewaroyle,
By supernatural worm affection
Links human with worm
Linking their worlds;
The boy gains abilities of worms
To skit the earth yet be on worm plane.
The viewaroyle visits with worms
In homes superimposed on human homes,
Only quite more gigantic,
He learns about them from their own lips
And thy are a jolly folk.
The Tantani worm is the oldest,
Their king,
He befriends the boy Viewaroyle
By supernatural worm affection
Links Viewaroyle human with worm
Linking their worlds,
The boy gains abilities of worms
To skit the earth yet be on worm plane.
New friends cuddle up in space if possible to be seen by humans,
But on a cushioned beach in a park as seen by worms,
Exchanging pleasantries,
Playing secrets to each other
On a supernatural tennis bat.
The worm lives to be five hundred human years,
The Viewaroyle lives to be two hundred,
Sexual propagation yields young same as in humans
Yet always on the verge of the spectacular,
Worm mating invites stars to the show.
Sexually mature worms of opposite sex
Dance around each other
Showing forth unbelievable colours,
Impressing each other with unprecedented beauty;
At the crescendo of dance rythm
The two merge into one
The female’s internal eggs are fertilized,
The two separate
Yet like tree climbers,
Crawl around each other
In ecstatic afterplay,
Their orgasm lingering for a whole day
As their bodies shoot forth beam upon beautiful beam of light,
A display no worm dares to miss
An encounter every worm looks excitedly forward to
A supernatural time- table apportioning every couple their appropriate opportunity to populate worm community.
Time crawls upon the female
To bring her at the door of two human years,
Tick-tock for worm progeny delivery.
She moves slowly to an afore-prepared arena,
Every living worm is summoned to watch,
Stars glimmering above in anticipation.
She shrinks herself into a ball and rolls around the arena in labour pangs
Shooting forth beams of light;
At the the peak of her speed,
She bursts open, releasing a hundred little green-eyed worms into the air
Carried and cuddled by nanny light beams.
They glide gently into worm cribs
Their mother recouples herself
As worm nurses attend to her
Amidst Ovations from a starry-wormy audience.
