It's what I've prayed for, it's what I've missed
Overlooked how dependent I've been on its every movement
Refusing to take the chance on what it would cost
Gave in to the truth, a truth that made me free
And opened up what was still unavailable
Love somebody like you
And I'm letting go of all my lonely yesterdays
I've forgiven myself for the mistakes I've made
It's ordinary to the everyday people
What the lilacs need from the shining skies
It rains on my face and my face smiles up at you
Rain is grace and intention
It comes when our hearts need it
We all need it.
