POEM: BARRIER TO ENTRY

in #poem2 years ago

I looked at the woman with black hair
And a Mexican accent speaking with her father
She differs from me in every way

I supped with the woman drinking thyme
Tea with lemon hints from our earth mother
She differs from me in every way

I shifted with her waiting in line
Dancing with pinch of air as a border
She differs from me in every way

Our breakfast sandwiched in paper flair
white and green accented our order
She differs from me in every way
