On 24th May 1899 (11th Birthday of 1306 BS) of Bardhaman District of West Bengal, India
Kazi Nazrul Islam was born in Churulia village of Asansol subdivision. Churulia village is situated in the Asansol subdivision of Jamuria thana. He is the sixth child of Zaida Khatun, the second wife of Kazi Fakir Ahmad, son of his grandfather Kazi Aminullah. His father was a Imam of a local mosque. They were three brothers and sisters. His brother's three brothers and two sisters are named: the eldest Kazi Sahebjan, the youngest Qazi Ali Hossain, sister Umme Kulsum. Kazi Nazrul Islam's nick name was Dakhu Mia.

He started studying Quran, Islamic religion, philosophy and Islamic theology in local Maktawi (religious schools of Muslims run by mosque). When his father died in 1908, he was only nine years old.

Nazrul did not have much work for Maktab, Mosque and Mazar. Attracted to folk art at the age of child, he joined a leto (mobile drama poetry, music and dance drama of the Radha region of Bengal). His uncle, Qazi Bazle Karim, was a prominent teacher of the Leto party in the Churulia region and was occupied in Arabic, Persian and Urdu. Besides, Bazale Karim composed music in mixed languages.

At the end of 1917, Nazrul joined the army. First, go to Fort William in Kolkata and later to the border province of Naushera for training. After the training, the soldier started living in the cantonment camp of Karachi. He was in the army from the end of 1917 to March-April 1920, ie about two and a half years. During the war, he participated in the First World War. At that time, Nazrul's forces were going to Iraq. But the war ceased being stopped again. When the war ended in 1920, 49 Bengal Regiment was broken. After this he returned to Calcutta after leaving the soldier's life.

Awakening awakens in the light of Bengali poetry published in 1922. In today's Bengali mindset, for the continuous rebellious mentality and extraordinary syntactic and rhythm, the poem is a "ever improved heart".

After coming to Calcutta after the war, Nazrul started living at the Bangla Muslim Sahitya Samiti office at College Street No. 32. He was accompanied by one of the officials of this association, Muzaffar Ahmad. From here on, his main works of literary journalism began. Initially some of his writings were published in Moslem India, Bangiya Muslim Sahitya Patrika, Upasana etc. Among them are the novel stopping and the poems are Bhavnod, Shat-il-Arab, Badal Pratara Sharab, Agamini, Khayy-Par, Tarani, Korbani, Moharram, Fateh-e-Dozedam.

With Pramilla Devi, who was married first and later married. But before that Nazrul's marriage was correct with Ali Akbar Khan's sister-in-law Nargis Asar Khanam. After completing the marriage, the marriage of the cabinera clash over the condition of having a child. Nazrul refused to stay in the house and before leaving the house, Nargis went to the house of Birjasundari Devi in ​​Comilla town. Nazrul was very ill then and Pramila Devi served Nazrul. At one stage they got married.

In 1942 he became ill. He lost his speech. His illness was clearly notified in July 1942. At the end of 1942 he also lost his mental balance. After that, the Nazrul family spent time in India. Until 1952 they remained united. In 1952, the poet and the poet were sent to a mental hospital in Ranchi. In May 1953, Nazrul and Pramila Devi were sent to London for treatment. On May 10, left Howrah Railway Station for London. After reaching London, several specialist doctors tried to diagnose his disease. Finally, Nazrul's health began to decline in 1976. The last days of life are spent in PG hospital in Dhaka. He died on 29 August 1976.
In one of his poems, the poet said:
"Please bury me beside the mosque, so that I can hear the call of Mu'azzin from Gore"

In this poem, his last desire was expressed. Considering his wish, the poet decided to burial beside the Dhaka University central mosque and accordingly he was buried.

Kazi Nazrul Islam was given the status of national poet of Bangladesh state. Nazrul's memorial Tishal (Mymensingh district in Bangladesh) In 2005, the government poet Kazi Nazrul Islam University was established. Nazrul Academy in Churulia, and Nazrul Academy, Bulbul Lalitkala Academy and Bangladesh Nazrul Sena were established in Kabir's memory in capital Dhaka, Bangladesh. In Kolkata, Kazi Nazrul Islam Sarani was named as the main road connecting Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose International Airport and main city of Kabir. Also, the metro station of Kolkata Metro has been dedicated to poet Kabir Nazrul in honor of Kabir.
