Tiny Vibrations

Think about the world around you.
Everything is black and white.
Oh, how it all makes sense.

The child that lost its innocence -
No one could forget that image.

You obviously don’t remember
the child that lost its innocence.
Thinking a little too hard.

You obviously don’t remember,
Pondering your life way,
Thinking a little too hard,
Trying to comprehend String Theory.

Tiny vibrations creating existence for you.

Fabrics of time separating the black and white -
A chemical imbalance explaining the evil,
Manipulative motives to explain the good.

Everything is easy with String Theory.
Makes your forget all the burdens like
the child that lost its innocence.

Trying to comprehend String Theory -
What a way to burden your mind.
Tiny vibrations creating existence for you -
Oh, how it all makes sense.

*This is probably my favorite poem I've ever written. It's about someone who has lived a troubled life trying to come to grips with their own existence and their struggle to rationalize the hardships they've endured. We often see a lashing out against societal pillars like religion, family, and relationships; however, in this instance the pillar is that of science, namely String Theory, and how even something of that nature can also be a force of hurt and doubt in one's mind.
