Terpaku simpuh
di hamparan huruf'mu
ku kutip satu persatu
lalu ku jejerkan pada palung jiwa
biar indahnya dapat ku maknai dalam arti
Ku memahat kata di dinding hati
tika jemari hari mengelus basah rindu'ku
Pada angin malam
ku hirup semerbak harumnya menuras ke hati
biar detak jantung bernafas dalam pelita di dalam dada dan palung jiwanya
Aku tak akan jemu meneguk tiap titis pedih
dan menyimpan sengsara ke alas rasa
karna ku tau merindui sangatlah menyiksa yang mengetus diri
dari pada di'rindui.
