My CPU sings
naught and one' algorithms.
I type to the beat.

When I saw this picture it immediately made me think of how humans have evolved in interfacing with tech in the age of the microchip. If you think about it, all those cyberpunk movies that posit the idea of technological human augmentation and AI synthesis are looking more and more prophetic. This Haiku kinda reflects my ambivalence in how this evolution is going.

Is the general population's analytical capacity being watered down through increasing reliance on technology? I think it's a valid question in this day and age where a large proportion of people get their news from social media. Or, perhaps, instant access to the internet through our phones is increasing the human capacity for analytical research? Personally, I think the first question is the one that would be answered with a resounding YES.

I have decided to challenge myself for the next month - until the 01st of July - to post a daily Haiku on Hive. Each week will have a different theme based on picture prompts from either Pixabay.com or Unsplash.com.

This week's broad theme is technology.

Thanks for reading 🌿
