Hello World!

...and hello Steemit!

As a noob, my proper #introduceyourself is still pending, but since poetry is en vogue here, I’d like to post a few lines out of my, gratefully long gone, personal “dark ages”. I still like to read them once in a while, but never got the chance to share with the world, so here it comes. Hope you enjoy!

Damn Cold!

It’s cold outside!
The falling temperature of meaningless ambitions
And doubts whistling in the crack of the window
A sterile smell of old, frozen editions
A homemade candle running low on wax
It’s damn cold out there!

It’s dark outside!
The fuzzy images of an uncertain future
And exhausting ballast of remembered faults
Undesired intimacy of a sweaty pillow, and
No starry night to stay the course
It’s damn dark out there!

It is sticky in here!
The dizzy atmosphere of disillusioned hopes
And weary bones from the changing weather
Melancholy soaking into my walls
Calling upon the muses to gather
It’s damn sticky in here!

hey from one noob to another great poem perfectly describes the cold ass weather here in the uk :(

Hahaha, tell me about it! I guess we’re gonna have to hold on for a couple more month... down on the continent, the same :/

welcome the community

hey man. Nice poems. Keep it up. In the future rather produce good content (like these fine poems) than asking for money. I know it sounds like I am being a dick right now, but steemit rewards good content and not by you asking for money. I know it is tough, and I am just a lucky person who got some nice words and photos on steemit and it gathered some attention and some money. So just a tip: produce good content.

Not asking for anything but fairness and recognition after commenting on your interesting post, and adding to its value somehow... reminding you that this is a community... but the fact that you come here and contextless distort and accuse makes me realize how little you understood me and who am I dealing with... your philosophical posts gave me the impression of someone with more maturity and fairness... good luck! :)

And here, just to remind you, read again please your post, and the only friendly comment you got on it, and think about if this was really necessary: https://steemit.com/philosophy/@fermentedphil/changing-course-a-diagnosis-of-modern-times#@sambor/re-fermentedphil-re-sambor-re-fermentedphil-changing-course-a-diagnosis-of-modern-times-20171210t033343620z
