BOSS CHRONICLES

in #poetry7 years ago

Steady stops along the way
To fame and favour
To fight off fear and failure.
Pieces of ourselves killed in the fight
Lie behind us,
A reminder of battles won or lost.
Perfect renditions of what transpired carved boldly
In the blood and shame and glory of men.
Posterity will judge history and not its chroniclers.

The first boss is now shrouded in vice
Unopposed by any other competitive force
Where he met the farmer and letter writer
He blew into the trumpets of fine flowers
Now the pollen follow him everywhere
Together with him we fought the good fight
We never got cozy

Alas the wheels of time are turning
Blockbusters are screening
Napoleons are on campaigns
You were there when President Obama allowed the Clintons to run against trump
At the end of the day one trumped the other
Sometimes we pay for the sins of our forefathers
Rebels are many, just don't be isolated in your own clan
You don't know whether your enemies also have 48 hours to live

The second boss was been called but he was away on a match
He now has 8 instead of 10 windows in his technological mansion
He has employed many drivers
Faithful to the cause he converted the sinners
And prayed for those who hated us

Here we have it!
Ceramic formulated by mixing with 27 ingredients with memorable properties
Along with clay( the colour of expelled undigested food devoid of bile, I believe)
The court of men has decided to go back to law and order
This time true to itself and all mankind

The third boss is a fool
Wether you believe it or not
The third boss had his eyes pulled over with wool
The effort came to nought
The stellar efforts of some and the attempted coup on the president of turkey
Had the army dispatch more that enough Co plotters
On the election day, after 48 hours
We obscured the ocean to steal the sky
The other day, those meant to assist in the process became rebels
They now give assistance to those who cannot help themselves
Leave the boss, they will know the error of their ways

The main bosses have played their parts
Sorry sir but you got too cozy
We thought we would be victorios
We had promises given to us by long johns
And there overseas we crossed very narrowly the sea
This men now decided our fate

The morals of the prince
State simply that it is a double pleasure to deceive the deceiver
Tomorrow in our own house
We shall speak
After adding the interests we obtained profit

The tidy sum of money spent overseas should have been spent in the country
The plot should never have been plotted on graph sheets
Sometimes don't underestimate anyone
See Argentina!
The nature of man is unpredictable
Man know thyself

All is well that ends in 2010
Glory to the father that is
Gift a gift to the main boss

We lost this time
We won this time
Every victory is a defeat
Every defeat is a victory
Forget about Mad Men writing on plain sheets
They are fools
Some are tools
Wait your turn, it's either you will be featured today or tomorrow or was featured yesterday
You don't even know
I'm responsible for what I write
What you understand is incomplete if not explained to you

Time and tide will wait for no man
Only things that seize opportunity will allow the boss chronicles.

to be continued....
