Serve me the sun and ice
This butchered life facade
Is for the cold and wise
I know not how to rise
Or turn from side to side

Even that won't be right
The luck of time and tide
The gain of health and life
Should hold my head up high
But cuts my pride in half
Not knowing when to fight
Not knowing how to cry
Not knowing good from right
Just might war me aghast
Wide smiles with splitted hearts
We say the gains are high
We round the halls and laugh
Each step cracking inside
Back in our dark in time
To groan away our lies
And wish we tried to ply
With trust and truth and chance
Fear of fear is my vice
Lest I leap wrong and slide
What shall we do with that?
When shall we get it right?
I'll open now my eyes
Look not too deep inside
I live now with the sly
It's that or I live blind
