Stopping By Woods On A Snowy Evening - [Poem #9 by Robert Frost]

in #poetry7 years ago (edited)

Whose woods these are I think I know.
His house is in the village, though;
He will not see me stopping here
To watch his woods fill up with snow.

My little horse must think it queer
To stop without a farmhouse near
Between the woods and frozen lake
The darkest evening of the year.

He gives his harness bells a shake
To ask if there is some mistake.
The only other sound's the sweep
Of easy wind and downy flake.

The woods are lovely, dark and deep,
But I have promises to keep,
And miles to go before I sleep,
And miles to go before I sleep.

BAHASA INDONESIA

Kayu siapa ini aku pikir aku tahu.
Rumahnya ada di desa;
Dia tidak akan melihatku berhenti di sini
Untuk menyaksikan hutannya dipenuhi salju.

Kuda kecilku pasti menganggapnya aneh
Berhenti tanpa rumah pertanian dekat
Antara hutan dan danau beku
Malam paling gelap tahun ini.

Dia memberi genta loncengnya goyang
Menanyakan apakah ada kesalahan.
Satu-satunya suara lain adalah sapuan itu
Angin kencang dan serpihan serak.

Hutan indah, gelap dan dalam,
Tapi aku punya janji untuk dijaga,
Dan mil untuk pergi sebelum saya tidur,
Dan mil untuk pergi sebelum saya tidur.
