I'll start by saying I have nothing critical to say whatsoever.
After three tournament appearances, this is what my record looks like:
I play on Sundays because I have stuff to do Monday thru Saturday. As you can see, I gave my chips away early my first two tries. I hung in there and went out in 21st place during yesterday's tourney.
I went out w/ A3 vs A9. The worst part? A9 (@jsock | SPL same name | AKA yesterday's winner) TOLD me what he had when he re-raised for my stack. I didn't listen and shoved anyway. Derp. I do that too much! I had a couple good wins early against @steemmatt (SPL same name) and @erodedthoughts (SPL Hagbard).
I had a great little win bluffing a straight when I didn't have jack squat. I don't remember who that was against, but I remember it being awesome at the time. I meant to save hands to review. I brought them up but didn't save them. If any of you did save them, let me know. I'd be happy to tell you what I was thinking when I made the plays I made.
@bethelea wanted Hagbard's chips, but I got them instead. :-P
The chat box is lively and respectful during these games, which I find amazing. I get told to "Kill myself" etc in the chat box a lot when I play on ACR, which is garbage, but the Internet is what it is. It's refreshing to share a game with respectful, considerate people. IMO when a fish gives you his chips, you owe him or her a little consideration. You don't have to respect his poker game, but you should try to respect him or her as a person. And when you get smoked on a bad beat, for eff's sake don't be a slimey arsed salamander about it. This is poker. If it means enough to you to disrespect a "crappy" player over a bad beat, find a different hobby. There are way easier ways of making money in this world than playing online poker. Most of us play for fun! I hate when lamers ruin the fun.
So far nobody has even tried to ruin my fun on SPL.
SPL is a fun group who likes to chat, and many who play seem like fairly savvy recreational players. Y'all are a hoot to play poker with!!!
Of course I love the idea of playing freerolls for SBD. Who wouldn't? :-P
Big shout out to @spl and the crew behind SPL. Great work! Great games! Super fun! Looking forward to the next one!
