Criticism Over Fears of War

in #politics2 months ago

Various individuals have recently suggested that people should prepare for war, this has sparked critical backlash and panic, with some seeking to stock up on goods or make sure they have the basics like water or a battery-powered radio in case it might be needed.

A failure of governing?

Critics have suggested that this might be some baseless fearmongering and others who have issued the warning have claimed they won't seek to start conflict but they will respond if someone else initiates any aggression.

Who wins in war?

Millions of people can suffer as a result.

Is this a failure of leaders with both fearmongering and lack of creative or intelligent ability to resolve issues any other way?

Who ultimately pays for the conflict and do they get any say on agreeing to an escalation? That usually hasn't been the case.

Peace is "not a given" after all according to those who have issued warnings.

Despite the affinity of some to pursue such an option though, there are surveys which show that the majority of Americans want to see an end to conflict in places like Ukraine.

Many people don't have confidence in world leaders today to resolve serious political issues and their shortcomings in being effective problem-solvers is a deficit which could cause pain for a great number of people around the world.

The U.S. is still involved in conflict in other parts of the world despite the media focusing on other issues in recent months or years. After all that money spent and the many lives lost on both sides in places like Iraq or Afghanistan there are many who have said it wasn't worth it, will the next conflict be?

Will the media report honestly on the situation or might they be used to fan the flames and drum up support for more never-ending and costly conflict that could possibly be avoided if other alternatives were to be considered?

We all know that majority of media is full of sentiments. The idea is to sell the news. I feel some news wouldn't even fly if the government played their parts well. When you see them unable to meet the people's expectations, any sentiment can easoly catch attentions.

The media is being used today to frighten the population.
Frightened people are more willing to donate to the Nazis and ask fewer questions about the deteriorating economic situation and living standards.
You were asked to tolerate the inconvenience of sanctions until Russia's fiasco, but it turns out the opposite, sanctions only helped Russia to establish its own production in the absence of competition, but the production of the eurozone is struggling to make ends meet....

It is sad to realize the global deception in which we find ourselves
