The power of no choice
Socialistic fascism and economic collapse, or fascistic socialism and endless war? How about all of the above for one low, low introductory price, without further pretense of a free society, a democratic republic, a sound dollar, limited government (a true oxymoron) or anything besides a brutal, inept dictatorship? But wait! There's more! You want your government to be consistent in its mind-numbing nihilism, don't you? Just pay a separate fee.
When all choices merge into a gooey grey soup of common vegetables like those ruining the red carpets in the GOP primaries the last two elections, only Ron and Rand Paul towered above it all. Not that they are perfect or even very good candidates, although their knowledge, integrity and intellect are unquestioned.
But Ron, the unappreciated fount of economic wisdom, never took it seriously enough to smile, stand up straight and look out above the crowd, buy a suit that fit properly or tell a good joke. Even so he represented a force to be dealt with.
Rand blew his first chance at the big-time by pandering to religious conservatives rather than showing bold leadership and explaining some simple economics to liberty-minded independents and confused, unlabeled young voters.
But since he is the only Senator with the cojones to actually stand up to the ersatz president, hold up the proceedings in the Senate and demand a clear answer as to whether drones can be used to summarily execute American citizens on US soil without due process, he deserves another chance. (It took the DoJ several days to finally answer "no," but as we all "know," talk is cheap, especially from statists).
On the other side, semi-reasonable Democrats like Ron Wyden, Dennis Kucinich and Jim Webb were shoved out of the group selfie like ugly cousins at the picnic. Only because the serious despot-enablers pulling the strings want a lot more power than 'crats like those would be willing to usurp and wield on their behalf... out! Maybe they weren't interested in sex with children like Weiner, Podesta, their close friends and clients, thus hard to control. And whatever happened to the antiwar left? Are they now fully compromised turncoat neocons?
Of course, almost the entire population has been thoroughly brainwashed in our quite dysfunctional but nevertheless universally esteemed public schools, a collectivist institution taken over by socialists become globalists, guaranteed to breed cultural and intellectual regimentation and destruction. "Skule" has been dumbed down to where anyone can avoid learning anything of importance if they try hard enough, and still "graduate." Homeschoolers are persecuted, a true social travesty begging for justice.
"School is the advertising agency which makes you believe that you need the society as it is." — Ivan Illich
