"School" literally means "unemployed"
"Educate" literally means to "lead forth"

So to educate children in school, means "Lead forth children in their unemployment", occupying children while they are not needed employed the fields during the summer months.

An "unschool education" means children are employed in the pursuit of understanding.

I'm always skeptical of such etymologies. Do you have any references to support them?

The word "school" is fun because it's in the bible, Strongs G4981 GREEK Skhol-ay loitering (as ine withholding of oneself from work) or leisure, vacation from physical employment.

The word "educate" is from Latin, meaning "rearing, training" but more literally to "bring out or lead forth".
