Greetings to you all steemians, I want to call your attention to something very important and vital, and it happens everywhere and that's because it's part of our lives.
The truth of the matter is that we cant do without loving or being loved cos that's part of life. But the question is while we love, what do we take, nor what are the things we endure just for the sake of being loved by someone.
It's high time we evaluate those things expecially if we are from the African region. Love is good but becomes sour when the following are not existing or you are struggling with them.
- Trust
- Respect
- Freedom of expression
- Freedom to explore
TRUST
A good and true relationship must be built on trust, and once this aspect of it is questionable, there is going to be a very big problem. It is fine for you or your partner to make mistakes once in a while but then you shouldn't be punished so hard because he or she did something wrong, knowing that no one is perfect. We should concentrate on our position in our partners life instead of trying to hold onto the past. And at any point we feel that we have lost that juicy place in our partners life and feel we can't Fight for our place, let's peacefully call it a quite.
We need to understand that we can't make our partner come to us by being troublesome or being a threat to his or her peace of mind.
RESPECT
Love and respect works hand in glove, as a matter of fact you cant love without respecting. For you to be a good lover, you have to be a good respecter. Although I Africa, women then to throw respect away when they start earning higher than the man. Women now use their man as a trash, maltreat then, abuse them and constantly talks him down just because he earns small money higher than the man. While what makes up a man is the ability to be respected. In this case now the love disappears and the man looses it. Once respect is out of a relationship, it's better to just walk away, cos if that man is constantly aboused they may be a point where he won't take it anymore and looses it then beats up the woman based on the level of accumulated anger boiling in him. so to the ladies, it's either you respect your man or walk out..
FREEDOM OF EXPRESSION
Partners should be allowed to express themselves in a relationship peacefully without the other party picking up offence nor try to shot up the other. The reason for the expression to to let the other person understand what the partner doesn't like or want in order to take correction.
When you shot the other up, you are denying your partner freedom of expression and it leads to keeping things inside, they bottle it up inside and you know what happens to an overfull bottle, they Burst up scatters up. That what happens when you keep angering someone without thinking about the way he or she feels.
FREEDOM TO EXPLORE
Love is not a cage, either is it a prison, partners should be allowed to explore and do what they want provided they don't hurt the next person's feelings. Relationship must have rules which must be respected or else it becomes a lawless zone which lacks control, let's not be selfish in our dealing and at all times do things that is at the interest of all of us.
