Mum Blog : 100 days

Can't believe it's been 100 days. It honestly feels much much longer than that.

After what seemed like a blissful 3 or so weeks after all day sickness finally vanished I'm back to "This sucks" mode and although I've grinned and beared it for the last week I simply cannot anymore and I'm due for a blockchain vent.

Sorry bub, if you ever find this blog and sorry to everyone if it's all TMI. Mummy's gotta let it out!

What up Bear?

Well.... Where do I bloody start?!!

  1. I have budgie bladder.
I wish I was joking but sadly I'm not. I can't even remember the last time I went to bed and didn't get up in the middle of the night to pee. Hell even if I only got up once a night I'd be happy with that but noooo. Multiple times a night. I've been so tired I've been drinking coffee in the morning just so I can get things done around the house and get my blogs done.

  2. I have a new mate, her name's Constipation.
Sorry everyone but this defo deserves a mention. I went from being like clockwork to are ya coming or are ya going? Between budgie bladder and this I may as well camp out in the loo I'm there half the damn day anyway. I've tried all the natural remedies. Dates, prunes, fibre, coffee - though coffee seems to work the best I'm restricted to 1 cup a day. I've even tried eating less because apparently we're meant to poop for every meal? Can't remember where I read that from or if I even believe it, but I tried it anyway and nope.

  3. Ohh my back!
My back has been so sore I'm having issues with it whether I'm sitting down or laying down. So when I am not going to the loo and I'm in bed I'm tossing and turning and not sleeping anyway. But that's not my major drama at the moment if you can believe that..

  4. Ohh my knee!
I'm only grateful that it's just the right knee not both knees cos I'll really be up shit creek then. The knee is my major issue at the moment that the others are shruggable. The knee really affects my mobility and if makes the back pain feel like nothing. It's gotten so bad that I had to go get the walking stick from the shed the other day and I've been using it ever since. Not that it helps much when I have to get down and bend my knee but still it helps take some weight off it. I've also resorted to rummaging through my essential oils cabinet for a remedy ~ which kinda worked, but only for a very short time.

  5. Sleep... What's that?
If you can imagine, with everything going on sleep is elusive. It's not that I'm not tired I am. I'm always at the point of falling sleep but then I move and something aches or my bladder needs attention and then I'm awake again. After a week solid of this I'm exhausted on all levels.

Then there's my skin.... but I'm not going to get into that cos this is long enough and it's starting to get depressing.

What the actual...!???

Right?!!!

Hubby tried to tell me to "breathe" and "meditate" through the pain and frustration..... 🤨

giphy.gif

Yall can imagine how that went down..

He ended up doing reiki on me instead, which I thought was a much better choice.

Then he came home the next day saying he spoke to people and they told him the baby is using what I have to grow itself, and that I need a lot of calcium. That pretty much aligns with my own conclusions when I say the baby is sucking the life out of me.

Now I'm trying to take extra care of myself by trying to eat better... Keyword there is TRYING.

The other day I made a huge bowl of cous cous salad with herbs and tomatoes from our garden and I'm also back on the avocados.

This was lunch yesterday and today as soon as I finish this blog.

I also ordered some roller bottles so I can make some essential oil roller blends for all my problems.

And I'm back on the Natal and Omega 3 tablets. I quit those during my all day sickness stage but figured considering all my issues I probably need the extra boost.

Aside from that I don't really know what else to do.

If you guys have any suggestions especially if it's an alternative or natural remedy/solution that doesn't involve me being a big pharma customer please share!

I feel for you girl! These bubs suck the life out of us in the womb. I could out-eat my husband in my pregnancies! It certainly sounds about right that bub is taking nutrients out of you. I wonder if the constipation is an indicator of this too. Perhaps your body is slowing your digestion in order to get the most out of what you're eating. Your womb will be taking a lot of fluid from you too.

I'm afraid the budgie bladder is with you until the end. Not enough room for holding it! I also think that not getting sleep in pregnancy is the baby's sneaky way of preparing us for no sleep when they get here. 🤔

Lol I'm getting there with the food. If I wasn't so backed up I reckon I could out eat him easy. I wonder if that is the case with the constipation? If so then I suppose I don't mind too much.

The bladder though.... 😭😭😭😭

I've mastered the zombie walk to the loo. The whole routine I can do with my eyes shut ~ I've got it down to muscle memory now.

Is that a skill?

Boast what you can; let's call it a skill! 😆

I only had small babies. Maybe you're growing a bruiser in there. 😂😂

Then I've got mad skilz 😂😂

Ohh God I hope I'm not growing a bruiser. My whole homebirth decision was based on the guess it'll be a little bub cos were not tall people. 😱😱😱😱

Gonna have to discuss possibilities with our midwife...

Omigosh, this was so funny! I hope it's okay to laugh. My favorite post of the year thus far!!!
@supersoju, you must read and think about the real pregnant ladies when you are pushing out another digital one!!!!!!
XD

Ohh honey, at least someone can be happy right now 😝😂 ... Yes the REAL preggo ladies. Not the fake ones with huge smiles, bump out on Insta. Dont mind me I just keep waiting for my preggo insta bliss moment and I dont think that's gonna happen lol

I've been waiting for the preggo insta bliss moment for years, my daughters are turning 9 soon...

Thank goodness I'm only going through digital ones

Cheers Holo! I'll add that to my oils shopping list.

Darling don't forget to put this in post promo of natural medicine. Maybe people see it and be able to help stop I didn't enjoy my pregnancy either. I'm a bit scared of telling you but probably want to quit that coffee as it is probably not helping things. I hear you on the pissing constantly lol. I swear I went through so much toilet paper it wasn't even funny. I think I killed a small Forest.

Hey @bearone, oh dear mama do I know how you feel. As far as the constipation goes peppermint essential oil has always been my first go to. You can add a drop (only if it’s ingestible) to your tea or just rub a drop or two straight on your belly and rub around in circles in the left direction (that’s the direction things flow in our bodies). I’m tellin ya you’ll be on the loo but just not sitting there, you’ll be taking care of business. Peppermint might also help with the nausea. Just smelling it makes a difference.

For knee pain Wintergreen essential oil relives that. Like you said above the effect of the oils is temporary so you do need to apply them often. You cant just use them one time and be done, apply those babies every few hours!

I don’t have anything for the bladder, that’s just one of those things that us mamas will go through while carrying precious cargo. Maybe someone else has some tips on that.

It also helped me to eat small meals throughout the day instead of two or three big ones. So instead of eating three regular size meals try five small ones throughout the day while snacking on nuts/fruit in between.

For the back pain, do you sleep with a pillow between your legs? This helped me relieve the pressure and it evens out your hip bones so that one side isn’t slanted and carrying all the weight every night. I’m not even pregnant any more but I still sleep with a pillow between my legs and will forever . It just feels better and my knee bones aren’t knocking each other any more.

I hope some of these suggestions help you! Hang in there beautiful mama! You’re well capable ~ ♥️🌺

Omg @crosheille 🌈🌈🌈
I love you!!!!!! 🤗🤗🤗🤗

Thanks so much for stopping by and dropping some of that oils wisdom on me!

Taking care of business sounds like a dream!! I'm definitely going to have to add Peppermint on my oils order this week, and wintergreen! Can't believe I don't have those two in my collection 😱😪

Hearing you on the smaller portions throughout the day and the pillow. I'll definitely try those today.

You're an angel! Thank you so much!!!

🤗❤🤗❤🤗❤🤗❤🤗

Awwww I love you too! 😄🤗🤩😎

It’s a pleasure! I sure hope they help you!! Yes both peppermint and wintergreen will become your staple oils while pregnant!

Please let me know if the pillow helps make a difference too! ♥️😘🌺

You are so welcome ~ ☺️

Thanks love xx Nooooo!!!!
Legit? No coffee as well?!!! 😭😭😭😭
I've been having the coco quench with it does that make it any better?

Lol small forest 😂 I can so relate, but please, dont make me laugh... 🧻🧻🧻🧻

Ps. Thanks for tagging the calvary ❤❤❤

I feel with you, I have almost all the same as you, except for constipation , and because of all this, I feel depressed. I have no advice but it will be better.

aww love I'm so sorry to hear 😭 I know how horrible it feels. Wish I could give you a hug.

🤗❤🤗 Yes it will be better. A positive attitude goes a long way. I hope you feel better soon xxx
