The Primitive Cult is a pathology. It is not the sort of illness that one person can suffer by themselves. It is a psychosis that individuals are caught up into as the burden of individuality becomes too much for them. When they want to lay down their individuality and be absorbed into the crowd, the primitive cult is ready for them. Surrender of responsibility and independence is what the cult is. It is a mania that runs through groups of people together, taking away their individuality and turning them into a mob. The power of the mob is the sole motive of its members. It turns them from peaceful, out-turned, socially-competent persons, into screaming autistic individuals who are frightening to everyone around them. They are all suffering a nightmare. Each of them is both victim and perpetrator. Each victim is driven to intimidate and victimise those around him. The traumatised are the traumatisers. It is a mania.
The Primitives are raiders and opportunists. They move in when they see weakness. They attack when they are strong enough. They attack whatever section of our society they see we have left behind. They watch to see who is young, vulnerable and gullible. They cut them off from the rest of us, encircle them and crush them.
The hyenas are the extremists. They actively hunt in packs. They make kills and they live off the carrion they find. The jackals are the moderates. They want to stay close to us so our suspicions are not aroused. They creep around trying to be inconspicuous and they live off our scraps.
