Day 3: I Crocheted a Hat

The latest addition to my many, many talents is the ability to crochet. I cannot over emphasis just how much this means to me, considering how often I have tried and failed in the past to successfully finish a crochet project. When I was a teenager, my mom tried to teach me how to crochet, sadly she didn't do a fine job with it.

Or, maybe it was me who didn't fully grasp the different techniques she tried to teach me at the time. But, I managed to learn the simple double stitch, I hope that is the right term. Since then, I would try several times to crochet a hat and abandoned the project half way because I simply had no idea what I was doing. The last time I tried to crochet again was in 2023. Yet, another failure.

Fat forward to three weeks ago, my new friend Eni, who crochets for a living, taught me the techniques necessary to crochet a hat, and I'm proud to tell you that it was a stupendous success. I'm grateful to Eni for providing me with the yarns, hook, and all the love and support I needed to finish this likkle project.

This is not a skill I intend to monetize, I just love being able to create something beautiful for myself.
