This is my entry to Psyberx's logo design contest. Although I'm far from being a pro and just enthusiastic at graphic design, I want to participate as there is 1,000 LVL prize for just submitting one. If you have graphic skills, I highly recommend you submit one as you can get as much as 100,000 LVL.
Work Process and Tools
I downloaded the available resources in Psyberx's Discord, used MS Powerpoint to draft the logo I'm envisioning, and then finalized the graphics in Canva for its 'custom size' functionality. I tried to learn how to create a compelling logo through Youtube, googled 'cyberpunk' fonts and 'futuristic' ones, and, cried blood for lacking talent rested every now and then and criticize whatever I've made.
The Outcome
I wanted to incorporate Hive, a Psyberx (@psyberx) entity, and gameplay in the logo so I came up with this.
Elements
- Terminus is a Terminator Robot who feels no remorse and considers everyone an enemy. Its all-time purpose is to destroy all life forms, no exemption. I wanted Terminus to be 'behind' the X letter, to represent FPS and it being targeted but decided against it eventually.
- Terminus is within a Hexagon, the representation of the Hive blockchain.
- The font and color represents the cyberpunk universe we'll be in.
- I've added the 'Fight for the Resistance' bit, from the first trailer where it was mentioned twice, as it is a call-to-action without the urgency (e.g. 'now').
Utility
Just in case it'll be officially used by the Psyberx team, here's how it'll look like.
