Welcoming post after one month of silence.
Hello dear fellow steemians, this time I like to share my views about one's self.
Have you truly discovered about your self?
I must admit and strongly believe that each one of us is born in this world to discover one's self.
My Introduction:
Before we are taught how to read and write we are already living in the idea on how important is the association between our "names" to our selves. We are always referring our selves to our names. Our parents seems so concern in giving us names. Should we be named after a famous celebrity, a politician or someone significant during that certain era. It did not come to a point that they just randomly pick numbers or any of those letters from the alphabet as our names in order to show who we are. For this reason, human beings as we are, we are very attached to our names. This name designates us as to how we portray or display our characters in this world. Yet, come to think of it, if our names sounds like a saint it does not mean that we will become saints later on in life. Others could not even act like a saint after all. We are all different. Therefore, our name is something that signifies us but it doesn't mean that this names will tell us who we are and what we should do. Our self is something else than our name. Our self is something that we developed or honed during our existence.
We just did not wake up one day and realized that this is us. It takes time to discover what we become and what we do in our life. Therefore, our self is not just an assigned item or concepts just like our names. Our self is something that we already have and yet to discover. We should not stop learning and developing our selves. When life is so short, it is important to make use of what we have. Overcome our weakness and develop our strengths for our selves to give way its potential.
