Money and 'free' are opposites! Re-member?
For several years I consciously chose to use as little money as possible. Since the majority of people continue to use money, this has been quite challenging and I have not yet succeeded in living totally without any money. I grow organic food, but have limited access to growing space and there is a continued challenge to interact with ones who are erroneously convinced that they have more 'right' to the earth then other people do - simply because of the distribution of 'wealth' on Earth. This brief video makes clear that the distribution of 'wealth' is massively unfair currently and my own situation is pretty good in comparison to most - so I want to do what I can to alleviate the imbalance and to help everyone in the process:
If you are unaware of the depths of the corruption of the financial systems of this planet, I recommend to watch the videos that can be found in the debt / money katalist. Ultimately, the entire foundation of the majority of our finances are based on fraudulent 'accounting' and thus modern 'money' has become little more than a slavery system, where those who 'trust' the system and use it - while having little money themselves - are used and abused daily. Meanwhile, those who design, operate and control the system are essentially free to do whatever they want with unlimited funds (while providing little or no true benefit to the community and planet).
Backwards thinking
Some people, when they have heard of how i intend to live and how i do not value money - have commented that i am somehow 'scrounging' from society and others. However, they clearly do not comprehend that to participate in such a corrupt system ultimately EMPOWERS the ones who are keeping the system imbalanced and thus empowers pretty much ALL lack, scarcity and financial imbalance on the planet. The more I use (Fiat) money, the more my energy can be bought and sold and the more those with most of the money can control me, our planet and our collective destiny. Who would you rather be guiding the planet's destiny? One who aims for liberation and balance for all? Or one who aims for personal empire and overpowering of others with no care for anyone's feelings? I will always choose the first option.
The 'few' (that some would call 'the financial elite') can create more money without limitation by doing little more than altering some aspect of the tax systems via their agents placed in infiltrated governments and 'advisory boards' - or by moving a 'stock' from one pot to another while using the vast wealth of the planet that they have long since hijacked for themselves to create extensive spy systems that allow them to stay 'on top' of the movements of everyone else and thus also their finances.
Since the unchallenged use of money will always empower these dominators in such a corrupted and imbalanced system - it is, in truth, the ones who pressure those who seek to break free into stopping their move for freedom (by blaming and guilting them into conforming to once again 'earn money') who are participating in causing the major problems and imbalances, not the other way around.
Are we really going to act like crabs in a basket?
My advice is to not be like the crabs who use their power to actively prevent their partners from escaping an impending death!
Awesome topic and great thought provoking discussion. Swimming against the current will always be a challenge to many but the final goal of being comfortable within your own skin and soul is something that can't be measured in dollars or cents. I have learned over the many years that I can go with the flow to the level I am comfortable with and starve the beast at the same time. Resteemit to get more involved in this discussion!
Well said, thanks. It makes no difference how much discomfort we experience pushing in the opposite to the direction the crowd if moving, when the crowd is moving off the edge of a high cliff! Eventually we will find our way to opening our own space. :)
I so agree!

Thanks a lot! :)
our currency system is severely flawed. Although I can't say that I am not participating in the money system I put practices in place to distance myself from it as much as I can.
'every little helps' as my least favourite 'super'market informs me - repeatedly ;)
Most people have an all or nothing approach to distancing themselves, for example, living totally off the grid or without money. I realizes a couple years ago that it's a continuum of degrees and that you can take small steps along the way to become less reliant on the system.
Yes, every step helps, certainly. Keeping the intention to be completely free is what opens new opportunities that might not have existed before.
Money gives the illusion of power to those who have it and the lack of to those who don't. It's time to wake up and take our power back!
Very good! I just sent you some imaginary 'power' as a vote . lol :)
well as for not it is not an illusion if everybody is buying it sadly. isnt then a illusion becoming real?
a real illusion!
Great words...there's a t-shirt design in there!! Don't be crabby :) I like the food is free idea.
hmm.. crabs aren't food.. but.. food is free.. so ... should crabs be free?
not sure if 'free the crabs' is a t-shirt that's going to attract a future husband/wife :)
LOL Doubtful :D I guess I mixed my two ideas together lol. The food is free comes from your comment on growing your own organic food and some people laying claim to most of the earth hence not enough land to grow food on.
The crab t-shirt idea was a bucket of crabs pulling one free crab back into the depths of the bucket just as he is about to break free lolol. Sorry for the confusion :D
hehe - i wasn't actually confused, i just thought i'd randomise the concepts for fun! :)
It worked :) I had a good chuckle and it's left a smile on my face. Thanks again!
i followed you btw :)
Thx! Looking forward to reading more of your works :) Have a great day!

We don't shame people. They shame people, because it is absolutely unacceptable for even one person to not think the way they think.
In fact if one person can think freely, it is a direct asault on their ideology, which can quickly be destroyed by a dissenting view.
They shame liberty because of it's power.
Unfortunately, 'they' are all around me here in Britain - they are at all levels in society. As frustrating as it can be initially, we really are all one and the 'them/us' paradigm is somewhat self defeating. Thanks for commenting.
I dont even think they have to do anything with taxes. Money produces money.
It is not an easy topic imo. As we are all in crypto here I just assume most of us dont trust the fiat money etc. but even if you look at the steemit community look how the wealth is distributed.
And some people earn to have more then others. They put out quality content, they form communites they are go getters, when others sit on their butt asking for follow4follow at most.
We were born into this unfair system but we still have chances. If you see it on a wolrdwide view, we are winning at life just by beeing lucky enough to be born in europe fe. But many many people carry our weight on their backs.
And this is what is wrong.
Wealth isnt good or bad as is money. Your decision how you use it what makes it good or bad.
If we are both broke we cant help anyone. If you are rich and I am broke you can help me and many others.
sry as ususal I get sidetracked pretty easy
intersting read though
Having studied this topic for over a decade and actually made software for international investment banks, I see things a bit differently to most. it is a big topic, yes - I wrote this specifically on the topic of why cryptocurrency can't solve our problems: https://steemit.com/steemit/@ura-soul/why-digital-crypto-currencies-e-g-bitcoin-keeps-us-in-the-same-self-created-traps-as-private-paper-currencies
you make some good points in your article.
but wouldnt it be a step in the right direction the average joe can mine his own money now and especially cut out the middle man (banks). you know step by step. We are still so early in crypto and there will be more to come.
Coins like HumaniQ fe.
I dont say crypto will change everything but I see it as a step in a more fair direction.
I have read about a fair trade phone and they stated they cant get a certain metal ( I think it was cobalt) fair traded.
I lack a lot of knowlege there and have no real facts about this most is just my opinion. With your experience I am sure you know a lot more
While we are stuck collectively with the use of banks etc. - yes, in some senses cryptocurrency can seem to be an improvement - and in small scale scenarios it is.. However, as I wrote in my article - there is zero stopping the entire system from being over-run by those who already produce unlimited money for nothing without even mining anything.. e.g. the central banksters. As long as they still exist and maintain their 'wealth' to any extent at all, then all cryptocurrencies must be handled with extreme caution and considered to be of as little value as fiat currency.
If, hypothetically, the central banks and fiat currencies disappeared overnight and all we had left was cryptocurrency, we would still be left with a vast pile of problems that are literally caused by the use of money - whatever it's form. This is very much like the many cases of heroin or alcohol addiction on earth - except the addiction is to money. It can seem that stopping using money would be more of a problem than continuing using it, but in truth that is an error and the ones involved are judging in advance of experience that can show them differently. The main difference and benefits of being free are that we feel better immediately and our feelings effect everything we do - so the actual benefits to life are huge.
