The film genre hated by Quentin Tarantino. He made it clear with a harsh statement "It is a corrupt cinema".

Quentin Tarantino is a big movie fan who is always willing to share his opinion on any subject related to the seventh art. Although the words that come out of the mouth of the acclaimed filmmaker are mostly good when referring to a tape or genre, it is not always the case. For example, during an interview with TheTalks, he said: "I don't like everything. I like historical movies, but I'm not a fan of period dramas."

Tarantino against biographical films. In addition to the above, the native of Knoxville announced that he is not a fan of biographical films, better known as biopics, which are characterized by the cinematographic dramatization of the biography of a person or a group of real people. “Another genre that I don't respect is the biopic. They are just great excuses for actors to win Oscars. It is a corrupt cinema ”, he affirmed as he recalls Far Out Magazine.

Delving a little more into his opinion regarding the aforementioned genre, the Oscar winner commented: “Even if it is the most interesting person, if you are telling his life from beginning to end, it is going to be a fucking boring feature film. If you do this, you have to do a comic book version of his entire life."

What a biopic should be like. “For example, when you make a movie about Elvis Presley, you don't make a movie about his entire life,” Tarantino said long before his colleague, Baz Luhrmann, directed a film about the king of rock and roll, a production that received countless award nominations for their impressive concert sequences and compelling performances.

“Make a feature film about a day, about the day Elvis Presley walked into Sun Records,” he continued. “Focus on the whole day before he walked into Sun Records and the movie ends when he walks through that door. That's a movie."

What would you think of a biopic about your life? Finally, when the also screenwriter and producer was asked what he would think if they proposed to do a biopic about his life and career, showing how he fell in love with cinema in the 1960s and 1970s, he confessed: "I could be flattered, but I wouldn't see it ”.
