Hi radanians, princess, warriors, gamers and other disreputable dudes!
In recent days I have been working on a mini-game that will be part of the Rada Quest game. As I mentioned on occasion, in the game Rada Quest there will be a tavern where you can rest a bit from the battles with the cards or wait for resources to be generated in the buildings.
One of those games will be a clone of Bejeweled, the classic game of gathering equal objects to remove them from a board and earn points.
I am aware of the slow development of the Rada Quest game and the impatience to play. It is for this reason that I wanted to offer this game as quickly as possible to the community. It is not yet included in the tavern but, for the most impatient, they can try their luck with the open "beta".
How does it work?
There is 1 minute of time.
You can exchange the position of two adjacent gems. If the movement achieves the formation of a group of equal gems, points are obtained; otherwise, the movement is canceled.
The points achieved depend on the size of the groups formed. You can also get extra time to play. These are the points (by gem)
- Group of 3 gems: 10 points.
- Group of 4 gems: 20 points.
- Group of 5 gems: 50 points + 5 extra seconds.
- Group of 6 gems: 50 points + 5 extra seconds.
- Group of 7 gems: 100 points + 10 extra seconds.
There is the possibility of obtaining bonuses according to the combinations.
For groups of 5 gems there is a 10% chance of obtaining a potion that eliminates an entire row or an entire column.
For groups of 6 gems there is a 10% chance of obtaining a deadly explosion that eliminates up to 4 rows and 4 columns.
And finally, if you get a group of 7 equal gems, there is a 10% chance of obtaining the magic orb that will eliminate all gems of the same type from the board.
This rules may be change...
I have left free access temporarily at this address: https://gemas.radaquest.net/
The objective of this mini-game is to pay a bit of BATTLE or DEC to participate. Part of the payment is added to a prize pot that will be taken by the winner who gets the best score during each tournament.
In our Discord you can take part in the conversations about how to improve this game.
I hope you enjoy it.

Very cool, I just played and the game runs smooth.
This used to be one of my all time favorite games. Got 4150 points in my first go there. Played really well and can't wait to see it running as a full time comp.
If I had the skills to do it I have wanted for the past year to build an app with about 20 of these old school games. Ad revenue plus micro payments create a prize pool and users compete for high scores in the different categories such as timed, leveled and skill play. You get so many lives per day but can buy more and a few potions to try and get your highest score every day, week month for steem or DEC prizes.
Apps like that have far more potential to bring in a million users when you can compete for prizes for free if you want or for micro payments if you want a bigger shot at it. Simple but entertaining games that you can play at any time. Those are the ones like candy crush and angry birds that gained big followings as they are so addictive to try and do better.
I would also add a 20% discount to in game items for purchases in STEEM rather than paypal as it gives people incentive to buy some steem to use in the game and you can set up a market for items, skins add-ons ect.
Unfortunately I have no coding skills but would love to see it built at some stage.
Hopefully you can keep developing rada quest and maybe more in the future. We need more apps for the STEEM apps for the phones as that is where everybody spends their time now. Very few actually use computers to go online so the money is where the people are.
Thank you very much for your comment and for your interesting ideas. You'll be glad to know that some of them are on my road map. And I'm open to more ideas, of course.
i like puzzle games, it would be a good choice for a tavern game.
Fucking love Bejeweled, great choice for a tavern game!
