Yes-yes-yes-NAYA! One of the hottest rap albums from the '90... '95 to be exact; 'Dah shinin' by Smif-N-Wessun.
Two years later, this album was selected as one of The Source's 100 Best Rap Albums. and rightly so, because with this debut they immediately put their own sound into the hip hop scene and market. With a fusion between jazzy rap beats, intertwined with a southern Jamaican sound they really created there own sound. The sound of the underground!
And damn, didn't even mentioned the mad bars of both members, Tek and Steele. To say it with their own words; 'Bringing realness'.
And yes they really do... in a very quirky way.

Never thought that this would be the forerunner of the fantastic Bootcamp Click, which I am also a big fan of. As I am fan of Black Moon, Heltah Skeltah and Originoo Gunn Clappaz, who are all members of the Bootcamp Click. The bundling of all those great powers was pure fireworks ... at least for me.
Anyway, for those who don't know, or never listened to it with pointed ears, this is an opportunity to close the gap in your rap culture. Check this album... It's a classic one!

Most famous track on the album was 'Wreckonize', but for my song of the day I choose my own personal favourite (Even the whole album is a gem, entirely!);

One nice thing to know about this album and a fact I found out much later via wikipedia:
The album's cover draws its inspiration from Roy Ayers Ubiquity's 1972 album He's Coming.
