The universe is almost perfectly created in such a way that it is both logical to believe that God does and does not exist. Ironically, that fact would lead one to believe that God does in fact exist. Because God would want to create the deist superposition as a sort of test for humans.
I don’t necessarily mean the God of the Bible, but merely an ultimate creator of the universe, even if this universe is a computer simulation. The simulator/creator would still in essence be God, at least in the sense that I am using the term.
If our universe is a computer simulation, the simulators would likely not want us to know we are in a simulation. But at the same time, they would not want to deliberately deceive us and force us not to think we are in a simulation. Instead, as the universe is, we are able to theorize that we might be in a computer simulation, but we cannot prove it. There are likewise people who believe we are not in a simulation, but neither can they prove that. The universe can be interpreted either way.
It is the same case with the existence of God. God would not create the universe in such a way that it was certain He exists—because then what would be the purpose of faith? And if God exists, He wouldn't make it seem as though His existence is impossible (though He could). God would make belief in God a choice—but not a choice with absolute certainty, because then it wouldn't be a choice. Our Universe appears to be arranged precisely in this way. The Big Bang is used as proof that God both does and does not exist by different groups. No matter how much science and cosmology advance, we don’t seem to get any closer to answering that ultimate question: Does God exist?
The answer may be yes and no. God is in superposition.
