Most recent resin work

in #resign2 months ago (edited)

Ok so today i'd like to share with you some of my completed work!

This is the first of many "Tree of life" coasters i will be making. Im keeping this one as it didn't turn out the way i needed it to. I will be making more and if you would like your very own set of four please let me know.

This is some gaming dice i made... Not a complete set as a couple didn't come out right, but i have made a new set that i will be sharing as soon as they set.

This is my latest piece. A purple crystal as purple is my favorite color i wanted to see how it would turn out and i think it was a good try, but still trying to work out all the issues. Like the air bubbles that keep getting trapped in my projects.

This is a piece of my first try from when i was just getting started. Id like to think that this was one of my successes.

And of course i cant forget the pens i made!

They absolutely didn't come out the way i expected them to so im glade i only made two other wise i feel i would have just waisted the supplies.
No im not giving up just going to try new projects with what i have. After all i didnt get all these supplies just to give up for a few failed projects!

Sort:

Those pens are particularly pretty! I love the deep blue-purple and the glitter!

As far as getting rid of bubbles...I am far from an expert, but I have several friends who work in resin. The only way they seem to get perfectly bubble-free pieces (especially thicker pieces like that point) is by putting their items in a vacuum canister after pouring and before setting, to literally suck all the bubbles out. It's one of the reasons I've never gotten into resin all that deeply - I didn't want the expense (or the space hogging size) of a vacuum rig. So I just let the bubbles be, and call them part of the art. 😁

Happy experimenting!
