Companies determined to be qualified to participate in the new program will later be allowed to bid for contracts for the actual restoration projects costing as much as $65 million each.
Informative article about coastal restoration which is badly needed in Louisiana, unfortunately they're spending huge amounts of money of projects that aren't sustainable. I have an idea, divert mississippi river, water which is full of sediment, into areas that need restoration, the diversion will continuously add sediment to that area. You pay for the diversion once and it never stops working for you, instead of things like dredging where the dredged material starts to erode away the minute the works stops. But what do I know....? lol
