Love Sniper Retention Curation #76

Hello everyone!

This is the Lovesniper Retention curation initiative aiming to retain those quality content creators after making their introduction posts. It was observed that after newbies made their introduction posts, their succeeding posts are often ignored. This initiative will hopefully encourage the newbies to continue posting quality content and interact with anyone in the community. As compilation posts are also done, this will highlight the newbies and will give the community an idea which newbie to look out for.

OCD's Lovesniper team will follow everyone who made an introduction post and @lovesniper's feed will be the place to scour those quality content from new authors. Curators will check all the posts in the feed to find under-rewarded posts and recommend them for curation.

Here the recommended posts for OCD upvote for this batch of love sniper retention curation:

Learning Splinterlands With No Tears

Learning Splinterlands With No Tears

The most frustrating thing in the world was figuring out how to learn
to play Splinterlands, and I am still learning. In this video I show
you some of my favorite places in the game to learn.

I also cover the art of Practice. Practice battles are a place to practice
your stacks, with unfamiliar splinters. Before a quest I like to practice
for about 10 battles or so to get warmed up.

The great thing about practice battles is you get the experiance of
the battle without the horrible sting of defeat. That is right, practice
battles do not effect your rating.

Splinterlands: 5 Things you need to know as a Beginner

Splinterlands has been the talk of the town in the blockchain gaming community for quite some time. If you discovered this gem recently, you are either a crypto nerd who's always on the hunt for great projects, a gaming geek who heard about this very cool blockchain game, or a random internet user looking for some exciting games to earn money. With over 500k active users every day, Splinterlands is undoubtedly the most 'happening' play-to-earn blockchain game I've come across to date. The game has so much to offer - DEC/SPS, Splinters, Summoners, Monsters, Guilds, etc. While this is all very exciting, it can often be overwhelming for new users. This blog is aimed to point you in the right direction.

Surprise visit by a frog - who looked awfully like the bizarre tomato i had just grown and was photographing from the garden

Surprise Visit

so i was minding my own business.. actually photographing an odd tomato i had picked off the garden vines earlier that day, when the cat jumped at the door with cat like remarkable speed.

Happily the door was shut or we would have had carnage on the door step.

this happy little froggy was just sitting there. Not doing anything.. just smiling at us. He stayed for ages. even let me go outside and grab a few photos (while cat going bananas inside) before he hopped safely away.

Doing what you CAN vs. doing what you WANT

Are you doing only what you can do and what you’re good at or are you allowing yourself to do what you most want to do?

If you’re supremely capable, or amazingly clever, or naturally gifted at a range of things then it can be easy to think that doing what you can do and you’re good at is a ‘good’ thing. But doing this might cause you to fall into a trap you never meant to make.

If you’ve mostly built your life around doing things you can do and that you’re good at and you now realise that you’re just not as happy or fulfilled as you could be, then please understand you’re not alone. This is a trap I’ve also found myself in at different times in my life and I want you to know that this is something you can change.

The 3 Things I've Bought Using My Own Money

I have worked as a part-time freelance writer for the last 4 or 5 months, I think, and through that, I have been able to buy the things I have always wanted to buy, and man, does it feel good.

These are things that I could have easily asked my parents for; I mean, I don’t ask my parents a lot of stuff to buy for me ever since elementary school because I don’t want them spending lots of money on material things.

But still, these things are something that I both need and want hahaha.

The first thing that I bought using my own money was a Bench perfume.

A Tale of the Failed Summoner

Kallorn reached down and plucked a flower from amongst the green grass, popping it into his mouth and grimacing at the bitter taste. "Forty-seven," came a screech from above, followed by a long cackle. "I can count, thank you, Harow," he glared at the scruffy raven perched above his head. "Why don't you make yourself useful and start hunting for the cowsfoot?" "Three more to go, then the cowsfoot," the bird squawked, flapping it wings before disappearing into the surrounding trees.
