Rotterdam for visitors

Hello all,

As a Rotterdam local and a couchsurfing host I have compiled a list of things to see and do when you are visiting Rotterdam:

  1. Visit the cube houses (at Blaak)
  2. Visit the market hall (at Blaak)
  3. Go to a pub in the old harbour (Near blaak)
  4. Visit Delftshaven (Unesco, old part with authentic houses, windmill and harbour)
  5. Go to Hotel New York (have lunch there)
  6. See the Erasmus bridge and the river side
  7. Visit the the Fenix Food Factory for lunch (near Hotel New York)
  8. Just outside the city visit Kinderdijk (Unesco)
  9. Visit the SS Rotterdam and enjoy the feeling of 50s travel
  10. Have a drink at the NHOW bar with view on the Erasmus bridge
  11. Have some great Surinamese food at Warung Silvia (Teilingerstraat). Be sure to try the filled bara with Curry chicken!
  12. Go clubbing at the Suicide club, next to central station. A club with a view.
  13. Enjoy a drink with a live performance at Rotown (Nieuwe binnenweg)

  15. Visit the boymans van beuningen museum
  16. Visit the Maritime and harbour museum
  17. Have a tour on the speedo to see the harbour

  20. Enjoy a late evening meal at the Persian restaurant Bazaar (witte de withstraat)
  21. Enjoy the bars and ateliers at the Witte de With straat
