Every few days I get an overly familiar message where someone pretends they're...
a) "Checking to see if I got their last message" or
b) says they're "interested in discussing ideas", or
c) that they "want to check how I am generating leads/saving money/handling shipping or etc"
But really they just want to sell me something.
What a poor sales technique. I always block those people. Not because I don't need their products but because it's dishonest and creepy.
For all you hustlers looking to get the meeting, why not try honesty? It would be better to say, "Hi, I save people money on shipping, and here are three references. Do you ship things?"
If I need shipping, that would work better than pretending we're best friends. And it won't get you blocked.
Happy Selling...
