My trip from Puerto Ordaz to Margarita / Mi viaje desde Puerto Ordaz a Margarita

Once at the airport, I located my waiting area and checked my flight. I had previously purchased my ticket through Moon Travels, an agency facilitating the booking process. I was delighted to see so many people in cool style, sporting comfortable attire, dresses, and more ready for their trip to Margarita. During the wait, I met a couple of super beautiful and flirty ladies, which made me imagine what it would be like with some of my sisters sharing adventurous vibes. Interestingly, I later discovered I would also meet them at the hotel.

Una vez en el aeropuerto, ubiqué mi sitio de espera y procedí a verificar mi vuelo. Había comprado mi boleto previamente a través de Moon Travels, una agencia que facilitó todo el proceso de reserva. Me encantó ver a tanta gente con un estilo cool, luciendo atuendos cómodos, vestidos y más, todos listos para su viaje a Margarita. Durante la espera, coincidí con un par de señoras super hermosas y coquetas, lo que me hizo imaginar cómo sería en el futuro con algunas de mis hermanas, compartiendo vibras aventureras. Curiosamente, más adelante descubrí que también coincidiría con ellas en el hotel.

Taking advantage of the waiting time, I enjoyed a delicious coffee to recharge my batteries before the flight. I opted to travel with the Conviasa airline and paid a $5 departure tax, which is a standard tax for airport use. For foreigners, this fee is slightly higher. The price of my flight was around $54, although it is important to keep in mind that these prices may vary depending on the flight date and whether you arrange it through the airline directly or through an agency.

Aprovechando el tiempo de espera, disfruté de un delicioso café para recargar energías antes del vuelo. Opté por viajar con la aerolínea Conviasa y pagué una tasa de salida de 5$, que es un impuesto estándar para el uso del aeropuerto. Para los extranjeros, esta tarifa es ligeramente más alta. El precio de mi vuelo rondó los 54$, aunque es importante tener en cuenta que estos precios pueden variar según la fecha del vuelo y si lo gestionas mediante la aerolínea directamente o mediante una agencia.

The flight / El vuelo

Then came the long-awaited moment of departure. As we took off, I could appreciate the breathtaking aerial views of the majestic Orinoco River, the largest river in Venezuela, and feel the sun's warm rays during the trip.

After about 45 minutes of flying, we finally arrived at the charming Margarita Island at the International Airport of the Caribbean "General en Jefe Santiago Mariño." Seeing it from the sky was an amazing experience, and as soon as I stepped on the ground, the characteristic Caribbean heat was already felt. I was overcome with an indescribable emotion at the thought of the wonderful days that awaited me and the opportunity to recharge my batteries in this Caribbean paradise.

Luego llegó el tan esperado momento de partir. Al despegar, pude apreciar las impresionantes vistas aéreas del majestuoso río Orinoco, el más grande de Venezuela, y sentir los cálidos rayos del sol durante el viaje.

Tras aproximadamente 45 minutos de vuelo, finalmente llegamos a la encantadora Isla de Margarita, al Aeropuerto Internacional Del Caribe “General en Jefe Santiago Mariño“. Verla desde el cielo fue una experiencia asombrosa, y en cuanto pisé tierra, el característico calorcito del Caribe ya se dejaba sentir. Me invadió una emoción indescriptible al pensar en los días maravillosos que me esperaban y la oportunidad de recargar energías en este paraíso caribeño.

When you arrive at the airport, you have the option of renting a vehicle which has different prices depending on the model to use; in my case, I used the Ridery App throughout my stay, but when I return, I will choose to rent a vehicle or go in one of my own to have more freedom of mobilization.

Al llegar al aeropuerto tienes la opción de alquilar un vehículo los cuales tienen diferentes precios dependiendo del modelo a utilizar, en mi caso usé la App Ridery durante toda mi estadía, pero definidamente al regresar optaré por alquilar un vehículo o ir en uno propio para tener más libertad de movilización.

Important tips / Tips importantes:

1.Travel with your car by Ferry: Travel time is usually 4 to 6 hours. There used to be some fast boats, but I don't know if they are available. These ferries leave from Guanta or Puerto La Cruz.

Viaja con carro propio en Ferry: El tiempo de viaje es de 4 a 6 horas generalmente. Habían unas lanchas rápidas, que no se si están disponibles actualmente. Estos Ferris salen desde Guanta, o Puerto La Cruz.
