Scottsdale Getaway !!!

in #scottsdalelast year

Hi friends! So I recently took a little road trip to Scottsdale Arizona and I wanted to share my experience. I have been wanting to take this trip for a little over a month now and I was finally able to make it happen. I made the decision to finally go from one day to another so I was only a 2 day trip but regardless I kept busy the whole time. The drive was more or less 5 hours but it went by pretty quick. I have to be honest the thing I was most excited about was the air bnb it looked so cute and it even had a swing in one of the rooms!

The place was called Americana in downtown, it was only around $320 for 2 nights and that's including everything. The pool was 24 hrs so you know we had to go for a late night swim, that was my favorite part of the trip.

I initially came to visit one of my old friends who recently opened a piano/sports bar a little more up north so that was our first stop. We dropped off our bags, got ready, and headed out right away. The bar is called Duelies (two pianos), the space was huge, all the food was great and made in house including all the sauces! Make sure to stop by if you are ever in the area you won't regret it. After a few cocktails we headed back to the spot, took a dip and got ready for bed.

When we woke up the next morning we went straight to getting ready to go to brunch. The spot we went with was called Sante, it had an amazing feel to it and the weather was perfect so we decided to sit outside. There was a swing in the patio too, perfect for pictures! For food we ordered the caesar salads and the chicken meatball sliders which were both 10/10 and i'm not even a salad person. For cocktails I ordered the Silky Mango as well as The Eazy Bee both gin based, these were some of the best cocktails i've ever had honestly. I also loved that they had vegan options and a mocktail menu!

After Sante we decided to do some shopping before we went out for the night and of course we had to stop by the Fashion Square mall. This mall was probably just as big as the Fashion Show mall in Vegas! We got some nice outfits, some coffee of course then headed back to get ready for the night. My friend had invited us to a gathering at his house which was so much fun. The people are so friendly and genuine it definitely felt so different being there. After spending a couple hours there we decided to explore a bit more before it got too late since it was our last night in town.

Last stop was at Tempe Town Lake. This is a local regular stop, it has a bridge that runs across with a lot of lights and heads into downtown. Again the weather was perfect for taking a walk outside and enjoy the view. We walked the streets for a bit, visited some of the shops and bars and just relaxed it was the perfect way to end the night.

The next day we had to say goodbye to the beautiful air bnb and headed back home. The trip was short and sweet, I loved every second of it. I would 100% recommend coming here to anyone looking for a little getaway adventure. Scottsdale was simple, relaxing and fun all together. Thanks for reading!

That food looks like just what I need... been trying to reduce my diet to little more than chicken, cheese and eggs, but it gets boring fast.

What's it like actually living in vegas? Sounds like such an unusual scenario - Anyone not from Vegas literally imagines a bunch of Casinos surrounded by desert, no other variation XD

Welcome to Hive by the way!
