1 oz Silver Round - Dogecoin Round

I have been getting a kick out of the crypto inspired rounds. I decided to pick up some doge coin aka 1 oz Silver Dogecoin Rounds!

I picked up 4 1 oz rounds for $115.80 so I'm a down, but these are priceless based on the recent popularity of Doge. I plan to HODL just like my digital assets.

Round Highlights:

  • Contains 1 oz of .999 fine Silver.
  • Each round comes in protective packaging. Multiples of 20 are packaged in tubes.
  • Obverse: Features the instantly-recognizable Shiba Inu "doge" from the popular internet meme. The word "WOW" is imposed over his body, and the dog is surrounded by phrases in the style of the meme, such as "very currency" and "much coin".
  • Reverse: Features the Doge taking flight, an ode to the popular crypto phrase "to the moon!". Each round features this phrase along the top border with weight and purity along the bottom.

DOGE History

In 2013, two coders set out to create a joke cryptocurrency coin based on a popular internet meme. The coin quickly gained a cult following as people began to view it as a viable cryptocurrency, mining and trading it up to its current market cap of over $85 billion as of August 2021. Along the way popular figures in the business world, namely Elon Musk, have played a major role in the ascension of the coin to the forefront of popular culture.

There are a few different styles out there, and I have to agree with you that they are turning my head more and more every time I get on to look for additional coins. Investment could play out either way but in the end you still have 1 ounce of silver per coin. You’re not going to lose that initial investment as long as you HODL! Enjoy your purchase!

So true that's why I like metals.

Haha, that is really awesome. Where did you pick those up from? I have been trying to decide if I want to spend some money on more silver or move it into Splinterlands...

I buy them on APMEX and I’m using some gains to buy both. Silver is not going to make me rich it’s more of a hobby that has value.

Oh, okay. That is where I bought my first silver. I was looking mostly at bars, so that is probably why I missed this.

Thanks!

I haven't got this Blockchain Mint version yet, only the original 2014 Shibe Mint proof version back when Dogecoin reached $0.02 I was also given a paper wallet with 200 Dogecoin in it and COAs for it. The new version look great.
Thanks for sharing.

I had a few million doge and sold way before .001 so this will be a nice reminder of what could of been.

Cool, this sounds like a way to invest in crypto and precious metals at the same time! Win-win ;)

You can pay for coins with crypto on their site too. I'm a fan.
