To kill spare time I sometimes watch Pawn Stars and here the episodes are often from 2019 so this post is no news.
A guy came in with a roman coin with Emperor Caligula on it and I immediately thought Rick was gonna make a misstake overvalueing it. You must know that old roman denarius coins are not at all rare; MA-shops (online) sells lots of them in silver or bronze for affordable prices.
But for this emperor it is different! He ruled 4 years when he was murdered and silver and gold coins with his portrait are rare. The expert came in hte pawn shop and estiamted it at 10 K +
So let's see what is for sale here now :
You see, the expert was right. Two coins are offered for around 10 K EUR
If you are interested in this emperor read some on Wikipedia. He was a strange emperor to say the least. And in my childhood a movie was made of his erotic life. I think he invented the orgy???
