2018 Dominica 1 oz Silver Nature Isle Coin.

The 2018 1oz silver Dominica nature isle coin is another great design from the EC8 series by the Scottsdale mint.

Since 2018 the Scottsdale Mint has been producing coins for the EC8(Eastern Caribean 8) encompassing 8 Caribean Island groups in the ECCB (Eastern Caribean Central Bank) who governs currency for these Island Countries. Anguilla, Antigua and Barbuda, Commonwealth of Dominica, Saint Kitts and Nevis, Saint Lucia, Saint Vincent and the Grenadines, Grenada and Montserrat.

The island nation Dominica is one of the youngest islands formed by a valcano in the carribean. Dominica is known as "The Nature Island of the Caribbean" because if its mountainous terrain and lush rain forests with an array of plants and wildlife. The obverse side features a frosted center with a side view of Queen Elizabeth II surrounded by a laurel wreath. The shiny outer rim is inscribed with EASTERN CARIBBEAN CENTRAL BANK on the top, QUEEN ELIZABETH II on the bottom, .999 SILVER on the left and TWO DOLLARS on the right. This is the standard design for all of the EC8 series coins and was created by Ian Rank-Broadley.

The Reverse side features a woman lounging on rocks looking across a bay at valcanic mountains with a sea plain flying through. On the top is the name of the nation "Dominica" and around the outer rim there are ten five pointed stars.
