Another great coin from the Scottsdale Mint is the 2022 silver 1 oz Cameroon Mandrill.
2022 is the third year of the Cameroon Mandrill series. Each year there is a new design featuring different depictions of the mandrill monkey.
Native to Cameroon, Equatorial Guinea, Congo, and Gabon the mandrill is the largest living monkey. As the most colorful monkey the mandrill has a cute but sturn look to it as you can see below.

Despite their cuteness when a mandrill is angry or even just yawning those fangs will send chills down your spine.

The obverse side features a frosted background with a shiny outer rim. Within the frosted area is the newer version of the Republic of Cameroon cote of arms that has been in use since 1998. Just above the shield is the year 2022, around the top is the French words PAIX TRAVAIL PATRIE and on the bottom is the English of the same words PEACE WORK FATHERLAND. Inscribed in the shiny outer across the top REPUBLIQUE DU CAMEROUN and on the bottom 500 FRANCS CFA.
The Reverse side features a close look of the head of a mandrill, coming through some jungle leaves, with it's mouth open showing it's big teeth. To the upper left is shiny spot with a design on the outer part and just under it the words 1 TROY OUNCE .999 FINE SILVER.
