A few weeks ago, we opened up the polls for the location selection proceas for the third edition of the STEEMit in Nigeria blockchain and cryptocurrency event.
Last year, we had the second edition in the Federal capital territory, Abuja to be precise.
This year, after the voting was done by people from different states, Uyo was chosen as the prime location for the upcoming event.
We gave the people the initial option of choosing between two geopolitical zones in Nigeria; South East or South South.
The reason why it was only the SE & SS regions was because the first edition was done in the South West and the second edition was done in the North Central. This means that we can account for other zones aside the ones we have hosted the previous editions.
After a preferred zone was selected, the next task was in determining a state in the region.
This is where we ran into some slight issues. As with the selection of a zone, minor alterations in the spellings made some states/ regions to appear twice and caused an issue.
Although the issue was quickly resolved as it was a minor one, the winner was quickly seen.
Changes to this year's event will be made and a timeline of event should be provided.
