What content do you view on Hive? Ramblings of a MAD sloth!

As I use Ecency more and more, I'm continually thrown towards the 'trending' section, I often find myself browsing it, not finding much of real interest to me before I realise and change back to my friends or the communities feed for the content I want to read.

Of course, the most exciting content is my own, why would I need to read anything else when I've such amazing posts right here on my very own blog? Ok, some of them are closer to garbage than excellence but, at least I know what to expect!

Sometimes a catchy title (clickbait, that's the word I was looking for) will pull me in, other times it will be the cover image. On occasions, these do not even relate to the content, they like most media these days, are designed especially to grab attention and get your view.

Of course, I then have the power to vote or not vote (even downvote if I so choose, something I don't think I've ever done on Hive, maybe one of these days I'll find the need, to help "curate" a community and ensure fair rewards for all).

What about reblogging, do you reblog often, occasionally, or only for giveaways? How much support do we really offer to each other to maximise the enjoyment of Hive?

Time to get your ducks in a row and geese a reblog!

Having recently started a community of my own, you've probably never heard me mention it, Sloth.Buzz. Ok, I might have mentioned it once or twice, but do you read these posts? Skim over them? Ignore them all together and just vote for the cute little sloth that's always buzzing around Hive of late?

I've slowly found myself with a core group of people who read my content, not always voting on it mind you, and there are a few who added me to their voting trail/fan base and don't read anything. Easy Tiger! Occasionally, I'll add a little challenge in my post to see if anyone is reading. So, if you have read this far, leave a number in the comment, for no other reason than to show you really do read posts!

Being a bit of a sloth, I read quite a few posts to pass the time. I'd say on more than half the posts I get click-baited into, I don't vote nor comment. Part of this is due to voting power or the comment side, well I've done a post on this before...sometimes I can't find the words, no matter how much I enjoy the post, as I've spent more time on Hive I've found this slightly easier and started reaching out on more posts.

How many of us really care about what others say on our posts? How many of our posts are actually wanting of comments or criticism? Someone saying 'great content' doesn't change much. On occasion, you might have someone disagree with you, but I find most people would just not comment at all instead of poking the Hive. It's an interesting world to be part of is our Hive. 'Engagement' is key to success here...but how to get engagement when you have nothing worthy of commenting on nor want to rock the boat on anyone else posts and disagree with them?

I actually read a post this morning that was full of pictures totally unrelated to the subject of the post, whilst being relatively related to the subject of the post. I was intrigued, it's something I'm going to try to do more myself. (Hows it going so far?)

My blog is a space for me to write, it's a space for me to be creative, or not. And get me into the flow for the other work I do around Hive and further in crypto. Does all the content have to be "worthy", High quality posts? Or can I use this space for my own junk posts? I guess that depends on what results I expect from a post. If I was for example to post this into some of the "niche" communities, it may be downvoted and called out. (sorry Hivepets, but cute doggo pictures need love) That's why niche communities exist, to keep the content focused on the niche people enjoy! Whilst other 'general' communities are open to a bit of everything, and you're more likely to get overlooked.

This post, for example, might raise a couple of good points, but it's just the ramblings of a mad sloth! Where does this really fit in the grand scheme of Hive? Nowhere, except my blog, and maybe SlothBuzz because, well sloth is buzzing if rambling at the same time! I wonder actually, could this fit into the...ah what's it called..something about moaning, ranting and raving...ah well, maybe I'll stumble my way there one day when I've more of a rant to have!

So, did you see the challenge I set? I think this post is done for now...It's time to reread, and fix all those red underlined words Grammarly has pointed out, add some images and share!

WTF EVEN SNAPCHAT HAS AI NOW?!?!

All my images, even the screenshot from Snapchat!

Sloth out!
