I am personally an Android user for a long time but still my views in this article are from neutral point of view because I have used Apple for a brief period.
Nowadays we see many news like Trump scolding Apple for not letting Agencies unlock the phones of culprit but deep down its all fake and drama. Backdoors are installed in both OSs even before they reach the hands of retails users.
On global level and national security level, all the phones are still flawed but if we are discussing about individual hackers then recently Android phones have marked the domain.
It was common perception before that Iphones have more tight security because of their software fully optimized to their hardware. A forensic detective Rex Kiser claims that it is now harder to crack Android phones.
It is possible that all the cellphone vendors might be doing it because they want to protect consumer privacy more and it is getting more strict in latest version of Android.
Cellebrite is a company which works with national agencies to help provide tools in cracking cellphones. Their UFED tool's test failed on Huawei P20 pro but succeeded on iPhone X.
It might be just for short while because data is new gold now and I know they will surely crack it soon and its just a matter of time. I do wonder how blockchain phone will improve this.
Personally i choose iPhone. I have been using android for a while but couple of years ago, i shifted to iPhone and iOS related stuff.
In my opinion, Android has tighten security a lot, but the level of security that iPhone offers is better.
Its ok to have own personal choice and nobody should question it,
