For different types of spiritual processes, we use different types of colors. Does the colors have any relation to spirituality?

The importance of colors is that the color that you reflect, it will automatically connect to your atmosphere. Those who are on the path of self-control or practice, they do not want to wear anything, because they do not want to add any new thing to themselves. What they have, they want to work with it. It is very important to work on what you are now. Connecting things one by one creates complexity. So they do not need anything. They wander naked. Actually, the idea is that they do not want to take anything more than they are. They know that whatever they are, that is sufficient.

Within one hundred and fourteen chakras, one hundred and twelve are related to some color. Two chakras are not related to any color, because their nature is not portly. Anything that is portly in this world, it naturally reflects the light. What you see is not its color. You're just looking at the color of reflected light. We say that the grass is green, but the grass is not green. It is reflecting the green light, so it look green. The sky is blue. No, the sky is not blue. You go there and see, blue is nothing. If the sky is blue, then the reason is different. Blue color refraction properties are completely different from the rest of the colors. That is why the sky is blue.

For different types of spiritual processes, we use different types of colors. Those who are on the spiritual path but reduce sadhana(meditation) and they are entangled in all aspects of life, they like to wear white. Those people who are engaged in such a deep meditation, which are related to the Aadnya Chakra (between the two eyebrows), they wear red-orche colors, because the color of the Aadnya Chakra is reddish orange. They want to disperse this color, because the entire process of completion is to get enlightened, and to reach a particular state of perception, to open that aspect of knowledge and perception, which is called the third eye. So they will always be in search of the red or orange color, because this is the color of the Aadnya Chakra.

The second best color can be black for wearing a monk, usually we have combined black with many inauspicious aspects, so try to stay away from black, but traditionally Christian monks have always Wearing a black or black color. Even if they wear brown color outside, the color of the inside clothes is always black. Look at Christian nuns and sannyasis, their head cloth will be black. Since there are many meetings in them, so they are wearing brown or some other color because of their distinct identity. Otherwise, there is a rule for colors in the Catholic tradition that originally is black for head, white for the heart and dark brown color for the rest of the body.Because the heart is pure, the head is in the state of knowledge. There is a brown color for the rest of the body, which is a very stable and permanent color. The brown color is such that it does not entangle itself or entangles itself. You know, brown is a color that your eyes can easily miss. That's why it prevents joining the outside world.

Yellow clothes were worn by Buddhist monks, because the process that Gautam had told to the Buddhist monks for the early stage was absolutely basic. He chose that process because he did not need any special preparation. He wanted to drive a wave of awareness. He did not stop in a city more than a day, continuously roaming from one village to another, from one city to another. He did not have time to prepare people for any kind of practice, so the practice he told to the people was very basic. Still, he continued to be a bhikshuk, fixing his life, but initial preparations did not do enough. That's why they asked people to wear yellow clothes, because yellow color is the color of the Muladhar. The most basic cycle in the body is the Muladhar only.In fact, he wanted to make people stable. The most important thing for a monk is that he practices the practice of stability in his life. Gautam's motive was not to give blissful experience to people. They do not need to gain instant knowledge, they do not have to achieve any condition, they just have to learn to be stable. Actually Gautama was preparing soldiers to shake and wake the world. He asked people to wear yellow clothes. When you are preparing a spiritual path to walk for a few years, such a process is taught. This tradition continues in Buddhist style. They keep coming back often to do more work on this, because the process is such. This process is to bring stability, not for enlightenment, that is why yellow color has been said.

So when you are on the spiritual path you want to utilise everything, because you have to create a right environment for yourself. But what is happening nowadays, you want to wear black because you want to look thin. In western countries, the main reason to wear black is the weather. Black color keeps you warm, it does not disturb anything, everything absorbs, and the person wearing it in this way feels less cold. If you wear white clothes then you will feel a little cold in the cold climate, but if you wear black in the summer season in India, it will boil you. Wear white, you will feel comfortable Accordingly, cultures have molded themselves.

In this way the colors have some effect. These undoubtedly affect some things, but colors are not everything. You can get in a bad mood when you wear red color. You may become passionate when you wear black color. This is possible. But does this help you? The question is, do this help in whatever you are doing? So in this sense the colors have a role.
